Version 1.0, October 14, 2026
This covers blog.julik.nl, stanquette.nl, shop.stanquette.nl and geneva-drive.dev. They are run by Stanquette.
I count visits to these sites myself, with software I wrote. We do not share data with any third-party tracking platform. No Google Analytics, no Meta or LinkedIn pixel, and no other company’s tracking scripts. There are no cookies, which is why there is no cookie banner either.
For each visit this records:
To tell one visit from another, your browser keeps a random number for as long as the tab is open, and forgets it when you close the tab. Your IP address and browser name are not stored.
Never recorded: your name, your email address, your IP address, where you are, or anything you type into a form.
If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, we respect them.
I do this because I need to know how the sites are used and whether what I spend on advertising does anything. Dutch law allows measuring a website in this way, with little effect on your privacy. You can still object, and Do Not Track is the quickest way to do it.
The emails we send may contain a small image that tells me a mail of that kind was opened, such as “a receipt was opened”, never by whom.
An order in the shop remembers the visit it came from. That is how I can tell whether an ad led to a sale. It is not shared with anyone, advertising platforms included.
To sell you a license we need your billing information. This information is retained internally for legitimate business purposes, as mandated by the Dutch accounting rules.
blog.julik.nl and X’s widget may track you for X’s own purposes.blog.julik.nl and may track you for their purposes. Most Mastodon servers do not.You can ask to see what we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, and you can object to how it is used. Write to julik@stanquette.nl
A change to this statement gets a new version number and date at the top of this page.
